At Greenfield Christian, youth worship includes children from third through sixth grades. The children attend the opening portion of the adult worship, then go to different room for their special worship program. The youth actively participate in serving and partaking of communion, a sharing time, prayer and a message. Reggie and I have the message one Sunday a month. This portion of the service is usually about 30 minutes. Reggie is used to capture interest, illustrate Bible truths and to help the youngsters remember the message. He is always present, but not always an active participant. All the stories relate Reggie to the message in some way.
These messages or stories are written out, but they are not stories to be read. They are instead interactive discussions, with activities involving the dog and children. You are welcome to use these ideas and concepts; but we urge you to use them as springboards to develop a unique program for you, your dog and your audience.
